Orisinal!
A unique gaming experience.
Orisinal is the creation of Ferry
Halim, a thirty-something Flash programmer from Fresno. His site
showcases a bunch of interesting games with an incredible flair for design.
There is something for everyone here... sure you can blast asteroids, shoot
cans, or explode submarines, but it's the gentler versions of skill and
hand-eye where you explore ocean depths, sail perilous seas or toss eggs
that can be the most engaging. All the games are challenging, some more than
others.
A number of his offerings are very unique. One standout is "The Truth Is Up
There". This game challenges the player to film a UFO using a virtual
camcorder. The longer the sequence, the more the pesky alien ship maneuvers
and of course, the bigger the paycheck for the amateur clip. In
"Hydrophobia", you play an hungry frog that can't swim. Many of Halim's
games incorporate a dreamlike quality and incredible fluidity. Another
feature of these games are exceptional sound effects and music. "Cats" has a
lounge-lizard soundtrack, "Pocket Full of Stars" has a serene piano track
and rich sound effects.
The quick-loading game files are small yet visually sophisticated with a
look that gives a big nod to the style of Japanese illustration which Halim
truly loves. Great look, fantastic sound, and addictive play are guaranteed
to put a serious dent in your productivity. Click the Orisinal game grid
